Stanley Park & the Seawall
Stanley Park Seawall
A loop of forest and sea, about an hour by bike
- Hours
- Park and seawall open at all times
- Tickets
- Free (bike rental extra)
- Address
- The whole peninsula northwest of Downtown; Brockton Point, with the totem poles, is the usual place to join the seawall
Downtown's towers stop and the forest starts, and the whole thing is ringed by the seawall, a stone-edged path right on the water. On one side the North Shore mountains and Lions Gate Bridge, on the other freighters anchored out in English Bay. Most people stop for photos at the Brockton Point totem poles, ride under the bridge, pass Siwash Rock and roll down into English Bay. Walking the full loop eats half a day, which is why nearly everyone rents a bike.
