A chain of islands just off downtown, 15 minutes by ferry. As the boat pulls out and you look back, the CN Tower and the glass towers line up on the water: the postcard shot of Toronto. On the islands there are no cars, just bike paths, beaches and small cottages. The favourite move is to watch the skyline light up from the dock at dusk and catch a late boat back.
