The doughnut-and-coffee chain hockey player Tim Horton started in Hamilton in 1964. Less a food destination than a taste of everyday Canada. The basic three: a 'double-double' (two creams, two sugars), Timbits doughnut holes and an Iced Capp slush. The Union Station counter sits between the UP Express airport train and the CN Tower, so it's easy on arrival or departure day. No need to hunt one down; walk into whichever you pass.
