Even when the crowd is thick outside the ROM, it is calm inside the Gardiner across the road. It is all ceramics, from ancient American pottery to European porcelain to experimental contemporary pieces. A single small plate carries someone's table from centuries ago. It is small enough for an hour or two, and there are clay workshops. A good break when big museums have worn you out.
