Past the gate, dozens of buildings lifted from all over Tokyo sit scattered in a park. At the end of the old downtown quarter stands the 1929 bathhouse Kodakara-yu, and you can look inside at the changing room and the bath area. The lanes leading to it are lined with old shops, with period goods inside once you step across the threshold. Some houses let you take off your shoes and sit in a tatami room. Give it a whole day and walk slowly.
