It began in 1949 when a Shandong-born owner set up a noodle stall with the 70 yuan in his pocket. Today it sits inside the basement food hall of the Wannian building in Ximen, so it takes a little finding. Hand-made noodles and leek-and-pork dumplings are the draw. It has appeared on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list for several years.
