A Japanese-built sake factory from 1914 later became the Taipei Winery; today its brick warehouses and rusting pipework hold galleries, a live-music venue and shops. Wander between ivy-covered sheds and you hit character pop-up stores, Taiwanese design shops, a perfume studio and cafés in turn. The big lawn out front fills with picnic blankets on weekends. What's on changes completely from season to season, so regulars say it feels like a different place each visit.
