From dusk, several lanes in front of Feng Chia University fill up with stalls and shopfronts. It's one of the biggest night markets in Taiwan: grilled squid, giant fried chicken cutlets, cheesy potatoes and whatever the newest snack is, and you'll be full before you've done a lap. Student customers keep prices low, and there are clothes and knick-knack shops mixed in. On Friday and Saturday nights the lanes jam so tight that walking turns into queueing.
