It began beside Feng Chia University in 1963 and spread from Wenhua Road onto Fengjia Road, Fuxing Road and Xi'an Street. It was once billed as Taiwan's largest night market, and on weekend nights the lanes still jam solid. Being a student quarter, it runs on cheap street snacks, new-fad experiments and endless bubble tea. Don't hunt for one perfect stall; share three or four that have long lines.
