Kok Sen is a long-running zi char kitchen on Keong Saik Road. The calling card is prawn hor fun in a thick, glossy gravy, and nearly every table has a plate. Bittergourd with fish in black bean sauce and claypot tofu make good rice companions, so it pays to come with a group. Mealtimes are loud and shared tables are normal. It has appeared on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list more than once.
