The cream-walled mansion with green shutters across from the Royal Gardens. It opened in the early 1930s to house Europeans coming to see Angkor, and was refreshed in 2019. There are 119 rooms, and the cage lift, high ceilings and long corridors are still there, so check-in feels like walking onto an old film set. The routine here: temples all day, then a long soak in the garden pool.
