A noodle house since 1878. At the Guangdong Road flagship the ground floor is a pay-at-the-counter noodle shop and upstairs is a sit-down Shanghainese dining room. Per Michelin, noodles and dim sum are made fresh daily and the kitchen starts prep at 4 a.m. The signature is braised pork trotter laid over noodles with pickled mustard greens; the 'three-fresh' bowl, topped with fried fish, pork and more, sells just as fast. It sits between the Bund and East Nanjing Road, an easy detour on foot.
