Founded by Seville-born dancer Cristina Hoyos, the museum fills an 18th-century house, with shows held in the ground-floor courtyard. The stage is small and the front row is right there, so you hear every heel strike and every breath. One guitar, one singer, hand claps and stamping feet, and the hour flies by. The museum upstairs tells flamenco's story with films and costumes, which makes the show far easier to follow if you go first. Seville is full of flamenco venues, and this is one of the names that comes up most often.
