The lift from B1 reaches the 118th floor in just over a minute. Part of the floor up here is glass, so Seokchon Lake and the streets of Jamsil sit 500 metres beneath your shoes, and everyone hesitates before stepping on. Climb higher and the Han River unspools between endless towers on both banks, with Bukhansan's ridges on the horizon on a clear day. If N Seoul Tower is the romantic hilltop option, this one wins on sheer height.
