Small hanok built in the 1920s now hold a maze of cafés and restaurants. The alleys are about two shoulders wide, and each doorway looks nothing like the last. Plenty of places seat you in a hanok courtyard with cake or a traditional sweet. Jongno 3-ga Station is three minutes away. Come at dusk, when the lights flick on one by one.
