From Imjingak you pass the broken railway bridge and the Freedom Bridge, then a military checkpoint into the civilian-control zone. The Third Tunnel was dug by North Korea; you put on a hard hat, walk down a steep ramp, and end up stooping through a narrow rock passage. At Dora Observatory, binoculars bring Kaesong city and the huge flagpole of the North's Kijong-dong village into view. Itineraries can change or be cancelled on the day for military reasons, so go in knowing that.
