The name that always comes up for Sapporo soup curry has moved to a basement beside Nijo Market. A strong Japanese dashi base keeps the broth round and savoury even when the spices hit hard. The best seller is the seared braised pork belly; first-timers can't go wrong with the slow-cooked chicken leg. The fried broccoli topping (¥150) is the most popular add-on and worth trying.
