Right in the middle of Nijo Market, 'Sapporo's kitchen', this bowl shop has a line from breakfast on. The signature Ohiso-don piles salmon roe, crab, prawns and scallops so high you can't see the rice. There's a version topped with sea urchin too, a whole Hokkaido seafood tour in one bowl. It runs 7:00 to 16:00, so no dinner. On Wednesdays, when it's closed, the yellow-curtained Uoya no Daidokoro opposite is the fallback.
