A wide ribbon of lawn that splits downtown Sapporo east to west, with the TV Tower planted at one end. Every block has its own fountain, flower bed or sculpture, so the 1.5 km goes by quickly. Summer brings beer gardens, autumn a food festival, winter the Snow Festival and the light displays, so it feels like a different park each visit. In mid-October the trees along the paths are just turning yellow and red. Underneath runs Odori station and an underground mall, which keeps you dry when it rains or snows.
