Stand in the middle of the garden facing south and the flowerbeds, fountain, cathedral domes and hilltop fortress all stack up in one line. Most Salzburg postcards are shot from here. The Pegasus fountain and the steps the von Trapp children ran down singing Do-Re-Mi are exactly as in the film. It's free, so it works as a morning stroll, and the Marble Hall inside the palace is still used for weddings.
