Central Garapan around Beach Road and the Paseo de Marianas walkway

Garapan is the only place on Saipan that feels like a town. Hotels and restaurants line Beach Road, and the inner Paseo de Marianas walkway packs in souvenir shops, massage places and ABC Stores. On Thursday evenings the Garapan street market sets up stalls by the park, filling the lanes with barbecue smoke and music (as it ran before the typhoon). With far fewer visitors in 2026 some shops are shuttered, so treat it as an after-dinner wander, picking whatever is open.
