You hear the water before you see it, then you turn a corner and a white fountain the width of a palace façade jumps out. Oceanus rides a shell chariot pulled by sea horses in the middle, and water spills over the rocks below into a turquoise basin. Since 2 February 2026, non-residents pay €2 to enter the stepped area right by the basin. Watching from the upper piazza is still free, and after 10pm you can walk down with no ticket and no queue.
