A former fisherman, Kjartan Halldórsson, opened this in an old harbour gear shed in 2003; he has since passed away, but the place carries on. The famous humarsúpa is a creamy soup with Icelandic langoustine, a little sweet and lightly spiced, served with bread and butter. You pick fish skewers from the counter fridge and they grill them, so it feels more market stall than restaurant.
