Step aboard at the wharf and within minutes the town slides back while the serrated Remarkables rise ahead over the water. The loop takes about 90 minutes, mostly spent on deck with the wind in your face and mountain shadows lying across the lake. The later afternoon departure gives the softest light. If you want a sailing timed to sunset itself, check with the operator first.
