This is where the Queenstown photo is taken: the lake bending like a lightning bolt, the town pressed against the shore. The Remarkables face you, Cecil and Walter Peaks rise across the water, and on a clear day you can pick out Coronet Peak too. Paragliders launch off the slope beside you and drift down toward town. If your legs are up for it, skip the gondola and walk up the Tiki Trail; it's steep enough that you'll earn the view.
