A neo-Renaissance pile with a big dome sits at the head of Wenceslas Square, and the staircase out front is where most people take the photo looking back down the boulevard. Inside, the marble stairs and the Pantheon hall under the dome come first. The mineral, fossil and stuffed-animal halls are huge, which makes it a decent half-day for a rainy afternoon. The historic and new buildings are linked underground and one ticket covers both.
