The long white Palácio das Cardosas on Praça da Liberdade, where Avenida dos Aliados runs out, is the whole hotel. São Bento station is next door, and the Dom Luís I bridge is about 20 minutes' walk past the cathedral, so nearly every Porto walk passes the front door. The spiral staircase at the back doubles as a photo spot, and breakfast is a buffet with à la carte dishes on top.
