About three kilometres of sand running right in front of the hotels and malls on Beach Road. By day it's packed deckchairs under umbrellas, with banana-boat, jet-ski and parasail touts working the crowd. The water isn't a patch on Koh Larn, so it's more for walking than swimming. Sunset is the best time: the sun drops into the sea, the sky goes red, and the promenade fills with joggers and coconut carts.
