Basilica free. Dome €8 from age 16, €5 for 15 and under (as reported Sept 2026). The funicular takes a standard metro ticket

From Anvers station the souvenir street climbs toward the white domes. There are over 200 steps up to the basilica, though most people take the funicular, a minute and a half to the top. The upper steps are always lined with people looking out over an endless spread of grey Paris roofs. Walk round behind the church and you reach Place du Tertre, where painters set up easels, and the sloping lanes beyond. Nearly every review says to come at sunset, when the sky turns orange.
