A 2017 revival of the 19th-century Paris bouillon, on a huge scale: 200 seats in the hall and 100 on the balcony, paper tablecloths, Thonet chairs and red leatherette banquettes. From noon to midnight it serves the French standards, egg mayonnaise, onion soup, snails, bourguignon, profiteroles, for around €10 a plate. It sits between Montmartre and the Moulin Rouge, so it's an easy meal on the way down the hill. Younger and louder than Chartier.
