Naha's market reopened in a new building in March 2023. Downstairs: blue and red reef fish, giant clams, pig-face skin and other Okinawan staples. Buy a fish and the vendor cleans it and sends it upstairs, where a restaurant turns it into sashimi, tempura or butter-fried fish. That 'mochiage' system is the fun part; order an Orion draught and wait.
