A socca house on a quiet street behind the port, with long wooden tables. The chickpea batter is poured thin into big copper pans and slid into the oven, coming out crisp at the edges and soft in the middle. They hack it into pieces, pile it on a plate, and you add pepper and eat with your fingers. Pissaladière, a mini pan bagnat and pistou soup are on the same short menu, so it works as a one-stop tasting of Nice snacks. It's one of the best-known socca stops in town.
