Past the ticket gate, house-sized granite boulders lean on each other and jut out into the sea. The top rock has a hand-shaped hollow that legend blames on a drunken giant who slipped. Scramble up and you get the beach hotels to your right and, to the left, the ridge of Co Tien mountain, said to look like a woman lying down. The waves boom as they break white between the rocks.
