Head out of town on the coast road and an endless strip of white sand opens up on your left. The water is clearer than in town and there are far fewer people, so an afternoon on a seafood shack's deckchair listening to the surf is the plan. Stretches fronted by resorts are tidy; the gaps between are still rough coastline. Plenty of people stop here on their last day before the airport.
