A steakhouse that opened under the Williamsburg Bridge in 1887. In the wood-panelled room you first get bread, butter and the tangy tomato-based Peter Luger sauce. The signature Steak for Two is a porterhouse with tenderloin and strip on either side of the T-bone, and the server portions it from a sizzling platter. Reviews of the meat are glowing, but so are the stories of diners caught out at the end because regular credit cards aren't taken.
