A restaurant and bakery founded in Brooklyn in 1950 and a fixture of any New York cheesecake list. The original cheesecake sits on a thin sponge base under a tall, dense layer of baked cheese. Being in the middle of Times Square, it's where many stop for a slice before or after a musical. The dining room is huge, so there's space even late at night, and there's a separate takeout entrance if you just want to grab a slice.
