A neighbourhood tavern serving beer and dumplings since 1901. Ask about Knödel in Munich and this name comes up first: spinach dumplings, cheese dumplings, a three-dumpling sampler and more. They even run dumpling cooking classes. It's just across the Isar from the old town, yet the tourist crowd thins out and it feels local.
