Walk through the giant arch off Piazza del Duomo and an iron-and-glass roof stretches overhead in a cross, crowned by a tall glass dome. The floor is marble mosaic, and the shopfronts are Prada, Louis Vuitton and cafés that have been pouring coffee for over a century. Under the dome there's always a little queue of people spinning on their heel on the mosaic bull for luck. Even if you buy nothing, it's the natural walk between the Duomo and La Scala.
