Locals just call it 'the G', and it's the cathedral of cricket and Aussie rules football. The guided tour takes you through player change rooms and the members' areas down to the edge of the turf, where the empty stands loom on every side. A combo ticket adds the Australian Sports Museum inside the stadium. During AFL season (March to September), skip the tour and go to a game: hear 90,000 people roar at once and you'll understand the city's sports obsession.
