The centrepiece is a huge basin the Almohads dug in the 12th century to water the olive groves. On its edge sits a 19th-century pavilion with a green pyramid roof, and on clear winter days the snowy Atlas stands behind it like a backdrop; it's the classic Marrakech postcard. Beyond that it's dirt paths between olive trees, so don't expect a showpiece garden. It's more a park where local families come to stroll.
