Rue Yves Saint Laurent; the museum is about 100 m up the same street from the garden gate

French painter Jacques Majorelle started this garden in the 1920s; Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé bought and revived it in 1980. You walk through bamboo and then the villa appears, a blue so intense it got its own name, 'Majorelle blue'. Inside is the Berber arts museum, and the terracotta-brick building up the road is the YSL museum. The garden is smaller than people expect, so at busy times there are queues for photo spots.
