In a city where buildings cover almost every inch, this is one of the few spots to get in the water. It's a shallow lagoon behind breakwaters with sand poured in, and in the evening families and kids pour in and swim fully clothed. The plaza behind it hosts events and concerts. Out past it, toward the Sinamalé Bridge, the reef gets waves that local surfers ride.
