Riu reopened the 1950s Edificio España tower on Plaza de España as this hotel in 2019; with 582 rooms it is a big one. The main draw is the 360° rooftop bar on the 27th floor, with the Royal Palace and the sunset all the way round over Madrid's rooftops, and guests go up free with their room key. It's a favourite with honeymooners.
