A family-run bar out on the east end of Calle de Alcalá, open since 1963 and best known for patatas bravas under a sharp red sauce. On Saturdays people travel across town for a plate. It is far from the sights, so you ride the metro on purpose, but you get a proper neighbourhood bar.
