Opened in 1993, it sits right over the Santa Monica beach path and the sand. With its white shutters it's a New England-style beach house, closer to a seaside cottage than an LA hotel. Santa Monica Pier is under 10 minutes along the sand, and the toiletries are Diptyque. Many guests book it for the last two nights of a trip.
