A giant glass sphere is bolted onto an old Wilshire department-store building, and the theater lives inside it; the terrace above looks toward the Hollywood hills. The galleries stack up costumes, props and how-it-was-made displays, and the Oscars Experience, where you hold a statuette, needs its own ticket. Half a day disappears the way it does after a good double feature.
