The Soho branch of the chip shop 'Pops' opened in the East End in 1952. Red phone box, jukebox, newspaper-print wrappers: the old shop recreated. Pick cod or haddock; reviewers say the batter is thin and not greasy. It's in the middle of Theatreland, handy before or after a musical.
