The shop's name is its signature dish. Order 'omen' and you get thick udon, a cup of hot or cold dipping broth and a spread of seasonal vegetables on little plates. Tip the vegetables into the broth as you go and the flavour shifts bowl by bowl. It sits at the end of the Ginkakuji and Philosopher's Path walk, so at lunch you usually write your name on the list outside and wait. Sets with mackerel sushi sell well too.
