A soba shop billed as one of Kyoto's oldest restaurants. The signature houraisoba arrives in a stack of lacquered warigo boxes, cold noodles in each tier with garnishes like wasabi, sesame, nori, grated daikon, scallion, shredded egg, shiitake and crunchy shrimp bits. You swap toppings box by box, so the bowl never tastes the same twice. The old wooden building keeps its atmosphere.
