Built on a former army base, it gathers an opera house, concert hall and two theatres under a single roof. The white steel roof sweeps down like the branches of a banyan, and the open plaza underneath is public shade for anyone. Kids scramble up and down where the roof curves to the ground. Even without a show, a lap inside and out is worth the trip.
